Flower child, 2022

Pastel on paper, 18 x 24 inches (45.72 x 60.69 cm)

I was told to get comfortable drawing my features. As an homage to Frida Kahlo, I chose to use a flower crown and named the piece Flower child to reference the innocence on my face, and perhaps the idealistic view I have of the world.
